Have you ever looked at celebrity TV chefs and fancied having a go yourself? Well now’s your chance! Roll up your sleeves, get involved and enjoy a morning of fun with a small group of like-minded kitchen enthusiasts.

Our cast of young, dynamic and highly skilled chefs are delighted to unlock the mystery of gourmet cuisine - and all once without throwing a Gordon Ramsay hissy fit! You can also be sure to learn more from Herzog's Head Chef than at your average cooking class - perfect for the next time your in-laws or gastro-snobs invite themselves for dinner. Just watch their amazement as you present them with your 3 course gourmet wonder!

Classes take place on a Saturday morning starting with refreshments at 9am followed by a briefing from the Head Chef and his team about the morning ahead. You will be handed out the recipes for the class so that you can make notes and also an apron for you to use during the class – you could even buy one when you leave for $48 as a memento of the day! The chefs will then take you through the preparation of your 3 course menu from the day's freshly delivered market produce and herbs and veges from the Herzog potager. Then it's your turn to get involved (dig in, sweat, partake...) as much or as little as you like!

Following the class your invited lunch guests will join you for a 3-course lunch where our Sommelier will also be on hand to present the matching Herzog wines. Coffee and sweet treats are served after dessert and a collection of the day's recipes will be presented to each 'student' to take away as a memento of the day.

The cost of one class is $180. This includes refreshments, class and 3 course lunch. The cost for your guest to join you for lunch is $89.

Kitchen Confidential

This is the ultimate “behind the scenes” experience for a total insight into the live kitchen world! Join our Michelin star practised chefs anytime from 5pm to observe how they run their mise en place and prepare for the coming service.
 
Our chefs are keen to explain everything to you while they work. Watch them creating the gourmet menu’s many components, from breads and appetizers to friandises, and witness the first orders going out. Then it’s your turn to head out to the restaurant for some serious pampering!

Dates: By prior appointment from 5:30pm to 7.30pm in our state of the art kitchen, followed by an evening of pure indulgence in our luxury restaurant.

Cost: $314 per person including the full Herzog experience: aperitif with appetizers, gourmet menu with matching wines, coffee/tea and petit fours.
