Kitchen
Position: Chef de partie's & Sous Chef
If you are committed to produce amazing food this is your chance to experience beautiful Marlborough in New Zealand whilst keeping up with your culinary career. As part of our young and vibrant team you will work your magic to create modern European cuisine from wonderful local produce. You are trained in both, classic French Cuisine and contemporary techniques for an incredible tasting menu for our Gourmet Restaurant and creative a la carte dishes for our casual Bistro.
You must be used to perform consistently on a high level of cooking and able to work independent with high standards in hygiene and cleanliness. We embrace a collegial and friendly atmosphere to encourage creativity and look for young 'chef star's' who are fun to work with. A professional and fully equipped bright kitchen with wonderful views into the garden is your working environment.
Front of House
A job for professional people with a heart for wine & hospitality! This role would suit a young chef de rang or Sommelier with at least three years of experience and a proven track record of having worked in high profile restaurants. Passionate folks with a deep-rooted ability to deliver kind and generous service with big hearts, tons of passion, determination to learn, commitment, and an innate kindness that results in extraordinary service.
You need to take your career seriously with high service standards and strive to further your wine knowledge to become a great host and ambassador for our Estate.
Vineyard & Winery
Position: Vineyard & Winery Assistant
Start Date: immediate start or by agreement
Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday
We grow a few fruit trees, olive trees, have chickens and bees which you will help us looking after including composting and other farm duties which occur on a small wine estate.
During Vintage you will be hands-on with everything, including picking, collecting bins and assist Hans in the winery.
Experience from working with a bottling and labeling machine will be necessary. You will also dispatching orders or helping with stock control and other minor paper work.
Oh, and we should mention that you really need to have a passion for high quality wines when working with Hans. Every week the whole team comes together and Hans generously open wines from around the world for us to sip, analyse, savour and learn. To work for our highly quality focussed and highly productive 'Vigneron' you should be equally hard-working and have a warm-hearted, "switched on" personality and be fun to work with.
