The Herzog Cellar Door offers the opportunity to try our high quality, handcrafted wines in a relaxed, informal environment. To try a flight of 3 wines we have a small charge of $10 which is fully refundable on the purchase of 3 or more bottles. Then why not relax with a glass of your favourite wine in our stunning garden.

Herzog is a must-visit cellar door in Marlborough as it is the only place where you will have the opportunity to try a selection of red wines as well as our more unusual varieties that only Hans is growing. Some of these wines are made in such limited quantities that they are only available via the cellar door - yet another reason to make the pilgrimage. Depending on vintage, these may include a Gewürztraminer, Nebbiolo, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir Rose and a wonderfully decadent Botrytis Chardonnay.

There is also a range of New Zealand books and gifts available for sale as well as gourmet goodies from our kitchen essential for any foodies pantry. The Cellar Door is open year round Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Weekend hours are 11am to 4pm in summer (mid October to mid May) and only by appointment in winter (mid May to mid October).
