Day One

After arriving at Hans Herzog Estate (check-in from 3pm) and taking time to relax and freshen up. You may want to have a short rest in the cottage or move directly into the lounge or enjoy the sunset on the veranda with a relaxing aperitif and appetizer. Next, experience our famous Herzog 3-course gourmet menu with matching Herzog wines. Finish your evening with a fresh tea or coffee in the peace and quiet of the lounge before returning to the cottage for a great night’s sleep!

Day Two

Start your morning with a leisurely breakfast in your cottage before enjoying a tour of Herzog’s winery and vineyard at 11am with one of Hans’ assistants. They will share their knowledge of our organic 11.5 ha estate before you meet the ‘legendary’ Hans Herzog who will be happy to share his extensive knowledge of over 40 vintages in the old and new world! Follow this by sampling some of Hans’ handcrafted wines including some of our rare releases not usually available for public tasting.
After your tasting, enjoy our fantastic 3-course lunch menu with matching Herzog wines in the peaceful and relaxing surroundings of our Mediterranean garden bistro followed by tea or coffee. After all that wonderful food and wine you may wish to take a “Siesta” on the sun loungers in your private cottage garden to read those magazines and books that you have been meaning to get to! For the more energetic, you may want to work the calories off with a walk along the river or even go and muck in with Hans’s assistant’s in the vineyard! Whatever you choose, the remainder of the afternoon is for you to do as little or as much as you like. In the evening, at a time that suits you, we will deliver a wonderful Winemaker’s Platter to the cottage with a bottle of Herzog wine for you to enjoy either indoors or on the cottage veranda watching the sun go down.

Day Three

After enjoying your breakfast in the cottage, spend the morning as you wish in preparation for your private guided winery tour. Before you depart on the tour have a bite in the bistro - fish, meat or pasta - choose a main accompanied by a glass of wine and enjoy the wonderful cake our pastry chef bakes fresh each day. Re-energise with a tea or coffee before heading off. At 2pm you will be picked up by a Herzog approved local wine guide who has extensive knowledge of the Marlborough wine region and its history. He will introduce you to some of the most passionate and dedicated wine growers our region has to offer. There you will enjoy a tasting of their fine wines and a private tour of their estates. After returning to the cottage, take your time to relax and freshen up before enjoying the highlight of every visit to Herzog’s! Enjoy some bubbles and appetizers in the lounge or outside on the veranda before moving into the gourmet restaurant to indulge in our famous 5-course degustation menu each course perfectly matched with Herzog wines. Finish your meal off with tea or coffee and some delicate sweet treats from our pastry chef before returning to the cottage for a wonderful night’s sleep.

Last Day

The next day take your time, enjoy breakfast and take a stroll through the vineyard before we have to say our goodbyes.

$3280 for two people.
P.S. Enjoy special Friends of Herzog prices on all wines bought from our estate during your stay which we can ship all over the world!
