An extraordinarily rare Extra Brut Rosé matured for over 9 years on lees, an exceptional length of ageing even among the finest vintage Champagnes, delivering remarkable depth, finesse and complexity. Crafted from organically grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it is vinous yet vibrant, revealing refined wild berry character, fine persistent mousse and a long, beautifully poised finish.

+
A warm, dry summer created ideal conditions for our organically grown low yield Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Rather than harvesting very early, as is common for many sparkling wines, we allowed the fruit to achieve greater natural ripeness while still retaining vibrant acidity and freshness. This rare balance enabled us to finish the wine with a very low dosage, revealing more purity, texture and natural fruit expression instead of relying on sweetness for balance.
Hans Winemaking Comments+
Great sparkling wine begins in the vineyard. Rather than chasing high yields or relying on sweetness for balance, I choose low-yield fruit with greater natural ripeness, concentration and complexity. The base wine was wild fermented and aged in French oak puncheons before spending over nine years maturing on lees, developing remarkable depth, finesse and texture. Natural ripeness allowed for a very low dosage and a softer, more harmonious acid profile, creating a sparkling wine of purity, balance and effortless drinkability.
Tasting Notes+
Rose-pink in hue with exceptionally fine, persistent bubbles, this Vintage Sparkling Rosé opens with vibrant aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and crushed red berries. The palate is beautifully layered and vinous, combining concentrated fruit, subtle minerality and creamy texture from extended lees ageing. Despite its depth and richness, the finish remains precise, dry and refreshing, carried by fine natural acidity and remarkable finesse.

Industry Reviews+
'A rather eccentric, dark-colored rose sparkling wine made from 80% pinot noir and 20% chardonnay. It shows plenty of dried strawberry, dried orange peel and light caramel aromas and flavors. It’s full-bodied and flavorful. This will be excellent with food, especially grilled meat. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.' James Suckling
