Pinot's spirited cousin.
A rare Austrian varietal that combines the elegance of Pinot Noir with a darker, wilder and more savoury personality.
Refined, vibrant and quietly distinctive.
Vintage 2022+
Blessed with a pristine growing season, St Laurent was handpicked in early April at ideal balance. Small berries yielded exceptional concentration and purity, revealing vibrant fruit, silky texture and the distinctive character of this rare Austrian variety.
Hans' Winemaking Comments+
A meticulous cold soak extracts colour, texture and aromatic purity from pristine skins, followed by a slow, cool fermentation with indigenous yeasts to preserve finesse and complexity.
After gentle pressing, the wine is transferred to French oak barriques, where it undergoes natural malolactic fermentation and matures for 30 months, gaining depth, harmony and seamless structure. Extended bottle ageing further refines its balance and expression.
Unfined. Unfiltered. Nothing added, nothing taken away.
Tasting Notes+
Fragrant wild berries, dark cherries and delicate spice reveal themselves with remarkable purity. Silky and elegant on the palate, St Laurent combines vibrant fruit with fine tannins and a beautifully textured mouthfeel.
A thread of fresh acidity brings energy and balance, leading to a long, savoury finish that lingers with understated complexity.
