Sales and Marketing Representative
Permanent , full-time (Monday to Friday)
Not your typical wine job.
At Hans Herzog, we do things differently, from the way we grow and craft our wines, to how we connect with those who drink them. We’re a small, family-run estate producing highly acclaimed, handcrafted wines with no shortcuts and no compromise, just time, passion, and an unrelenting pursuit of quality.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work alongside the owners, helping us share our story and wines with customers and partners in New Zealand and abroad. It’s about thoughtful communication, meaningful relationships, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, whether you're writing a newsletter, managing the online shop, or welcoming a guest for a private wine experience.
What you will do:
- Develop new sales opportunities locally and internationally
- Strengthen relationships with our trusted distributors and private clients
- Manage and optimise our website and online shop
- Create compelling newsletters and digital campaigns that reflect our values
- Curate social media content with warmth and authenticity
- Maintain our customer database for targeted communications
- Host visitors
- Support day-to-day operations as a valued member of a small team
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has sales and marketing experience (preferably in wine or fine goods)
- Communicates with grace, warmth, and attention to detail
- Is organised, self-motivated, and commercially aware
- Is familiar with Microsoft Office, Shopify, social platforms, and marketing tools
- Holds WSET Level 3 or is keen to grow wine knowledge
- Embodies our values - artisanship, authenticity, and a deep respect for quality
Why it matters:
This role offers the rare chance to work directly with the vigneron owners of one of New Zealand’s most admired wineries. It’s personal, purposeful work in a truly beautiful place, where your contribution will be valued and your ideas welcomed. We offer a competitive salary plus commission, and an environment where learning and initiative are genuinely encouraged.
