How much does it cost to stay in the Vineyard Cottage?

The cottage is exclusively available through our packages:

A night in the vines for $1,190 and The Vintners Getaway for a 2-night stay at $1850, includes 15% GST. Additional nights can be added for $650 per night and includes breakfast, subject to availability.

Is the Vineyard Cottage available for booking over weekends or public holidays?

Weekend bookings are available upon enquiry only. If you're interested in staying over a weekend, please email enjoy@herzog.co.nz and we will respond with availability.

Please note that check-ins are not possible on public holidays, requiring an extended stay with check-in on a non-public holiday. Additional charges may apply for public holiday stays.

What amenities does the cottage include?

Our cottage is equipped with the following amenities:

  • Chromecast for streaming (no Sky TV)

Does the cottage have cooking facilities?

The cottage doesn't have kitchen facilities due to fire safety regulations. You can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast basket each morning, or pre-order a delicious winemaker's platter for private dining. If you prefer to dine out, we recommend exploring Marlborough's dining options. You can find more information and make bookings on the Marlborough tourism website.

What if I want to cancel or reschedule my stay?

Is the cottage wheelchair accessible?

Regrettably, the cottage, being a historic building, does not offer wheelchair accessibility.

Is a wine tasting included?

Our packages feature an engaging and educational private wine experience. We'll reach out to you before or upon check-in to schedule a convenient time for this unique experience.

Is the cottage suitable for children?

The cottage is not suitable for children due to its open-air living space, abundance of antiques, artwork, and breakable items.

Is the cottage suitable for non-couple guests?

The king-size bed in the cottage is not divisible into two single beds.

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is available from 3-5pm, and check-out is by 11am. For alternative arrangements, please email enjoy@herzog.co.nz.

A wonderful 2 nights in the most delightful "Rose Cottage", an idyllic setting amongst the vines, a short walk from the winery and family home, we enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting set in the garden in late afternoon with dappled sun shining through, little fantails hopping from tree to tree, like being in a Disney movie! The cottage itself was immaculate with many antique and original features, and the rooms were serviced beautifully, indeed we enjoyed a "Vineyard Platter" on our deck one evening and of course the wine. Super location, we loved it!!

Absolutely exquisite! This cottage is absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend, so much character and finesse, from all the little details (high end linen, bath robes, coffee, arrange of tea, fresh flowers). Beautiful interior design. The team at Herzog were so friendly and welcoming. We made the most of using the bikes they had on offer to pop around to the local vineyards. Highly recommend the breakfast option, delicious! We hope to return in the near future!
