Vintage 2014+
2014 was another perfect growing season and we were rewarded with beautiful healthy grapes. We picked our Mendoza Chardonnay clones during the second week of April at a tiny yield of 500g per vine, producing just shy of 600 bottles.
Hans' Winemaking Comments+
After gentle skin maceration, the wine was transferred to 500 litre oak puncheons for an initial wild yeast fermentation followed by a secondary, malolactic fermentation. The wine was then left to age on its fine lees, with regular stirring, for a period of 20 months.
Original Tasting Notes+
Refreshing citrus aromas of preserved lemon mingle with savoury notes of walnut and white pepper. With a rich texture and complexity, the 2014 is offers an elegant balance of minerality and acidity which will shows enormous potential for aging. Enjoy now or for many years to come…
