Vintage 2016+

A beautiful growing season with a long “Indian” summer. We got up early to pick the amazing fruit from this 20-year-old vines from extremely low yield. The healthy and perfect physiologically ripe grapes were carefully placed in small crates and minutes later with Hans in the winery.

Hans' Comment+

The beautiful healthy fruit allowed for a few days of skin maceration before the must was gently pressed. The juice was then transferred to 500 litre oak puncheons for a wild yeast fermentation progressing to a natural secondary, malolactic fermentation. The wine was then allowed to age on its fine lees, with regular stirring, for a period of 22 months.

Original Tasting Notes+

An impressive nose with loads of intense, ripe fruit and white flowers. The rich texture is balanced by a refreshing minerality. Lovely balanced by fruit and a solid mineral backbone. Lingering finish and great potential for aging. Enjoy now or for many years to come…
